Founded in 1982 Avatar Corporation is a manufacturer and distributor of raw materials and ingredients for the food, drug, and cosmetic industries. We are a privately held, Illinois corporation.
Our principal offices and plant are located on a 23-acre site in University Park, Illinois. We operate in full compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practice —cGMP and have been assigned a Permanent Drug Registration Number by the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA).

The Food Industry
Baking- specialty vegetable oils, divider oils, bread pan oils, trough greases and specialty shortenings. These products are utilized as release agents, shortenings and food-grade lubricants for specific equipment used in the conveyance, forming and processing of bakery products.
Confectionary- specialized release agents including slab, belt and kettle lubricants to assure effective release, extended shelf life and product clarity.
Meat and Poultry- Avatar Corporation has received USDA authorization for all Citation? and Avatech? White Mineral Oils for use in official establishments operating under guidelines prescribed by USDA inspection and Grading Programs.
The Drug Industry
Avatar is designated by USFDA as a bulk pharmaceutical chemical manufacturer. We manufacture a variety of excipients, diluents and vehicles used in ethical pharmaceutical products.
